Are Fortunate Source products organic?

Fortunate Source works with farms that practice organic farming methods. We are not allowed to call our products organic. Fortunate Source will be offering a full line of certified organic CBD in the future.

Are Fortunate Source products all-natural?

Absolutely. We do not have any artificial additives in our product.

I have a gluten allergy. Can I use your products?

Yes. All Fortunate Source products are gluten free, and manufactured in an allergen free environment.

How do you take CBD?

Some studies have shown that taking CBD after a meal can increase the bio-availability by four times. So, a quarter size dose now has the potency of a full dropper. The most effective way to administer your dose is sublingual. This means to place the CBD oil under your tongue for 30-60 seconds. Always consult your doctor to see if CBD is safe to take with any prescription medications.

What Carrier oil do you use?

The carrier oil in Fortunate Source CBD is MTC. MTC is short for Medium-chain triglycerides. The MTC in Fortunate Source CBD is extracted from coconut oil. The decision was made to offer a product with MTC oil due to how clean it tastes. Hemp oil is a warmer and heavier oil with a full flavor that is similar in flavor to sunflower seeds. Olive oil is a much thicker oil that can overpower the taste of the product.

The benefits of MTC oil can help in promoting weight loss, reduces body weight, and waist circumference, MCT oil has about 10% fewer calories than other long-chain triglycerides such as olive oil. Your body can use MTC oil as an instant source of energy. It can also help with the growth of good bacteria in the gut. (www.healthline.com)

On top of all the benefits of coconut oil, we know that by using MTC as a carrier oil, our product will always have a nice clean and fresh taste. MTC also extends the product life to a 24- month shelf life rather than 12 months with olive and hemp seed.

What method of extraction do you use?

The hemp has been processed using supercritical CO2 extraction method. This is considered the purest and cleanest method of extraction. This allows the oil to maintain all of its terpenes, and associated cannabinoids, giving the CBD oil the maximum level of beneficial ingredients. The oil is manufactured in an FDA-registered manufacturing facility, according to GPA-approved standards; additionally, it is allergen-free inspected

Fortunate Source is 100% dedicated to providing you the purest and freshest CBD products on the market today.

What is the difference between Co2 Extraction and Solvent extraction?

Solvents such as propane, and butane are used to dissolve the plants components into a solution. This method leaves residual solvents in the CBD oil, and many of these are known carcinogens. Alcohol has been used for years as an extraction method and can provide safe products. Fortunate Source prefers to use CO2 extraction because the alcohol solvent can remove many of the beneficial plant waxes and other beneficial compounds from the hemp plant. For the best quality CBD, your product should be CO2 extracted.

Before going into production, every raw material is tested and at the end of production, finished goods are tested again for potency, microbials, heavy metals, and residual solvents.

What is GMP certified?

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are guidelines established by the FDA, that provide a system of processes, procedures and documentation to assure a product has the identity, strength, composition, quality and purity that appear on its label.  Our facility is certified by NSF International, a third party independent organization. NSF International independently registers manufacturers as meeting GMP requirements.
